We human beings are like puppy dogs. We wag our tails and wait for our master who never comes home. Every so often one of us steps up to the plate and has a go at being "leader". This is usually disappointing because even the most powerful amongst us are after all, only human.

Today we mostly follow celebrities who function as replacement deities. But like the wizard in Oz, behind the smoke, mirrors and pyrotechnics, there's almost always an insecure, little human being behind the curtain.
